Very Rare Roman Gold Coin Valentinian II AV Solidus Superb Condition MS

D N VALENTINIANVS IVN P F AVG, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / CONCORDIA AVGGG, Constantinopolis seated facing with head to right, holding long sceptre and globe; CONOB in exergue. What makes this coin rare? Though he became emperor in AD 375, it seems that no coins were struck for Valentinian II in Constantinople before AD 378. This coin comes from the earliest known issue, and has a slightly different obverse legend than the issues that followed: this coin has the obverse legend D N VALENTINIANVS IVN P F AVG, whereas the later and more common type says only D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG. This coin has a stunning lustrous surfaces when in hand that no photograph can convey!
